Aims of the MMRRG
To facilitate the exchange of information and to promote
education and further training for radiographers working in the
field of magnetic resonance. The co-ordination of the Association's
activities is undertaken by an elected Management Committee which
consists of MR Radiographers working in Malta. The Officers of
the Group are the President, Vice-President Secretary, Treasurer and
Public Relations Officer.
Membership includes Full Member, Associate Member and Student
Member. Membership is also welcomed from representatives of
companies and organisations with an interest in magnetic resonance
as well as from individuals not currently employed in an MR unit.
The aims of the Association are currently achieved by the holding of seminars and lectures at Mater Dei Hospital and the MRI in Practice Course.
Last years MRI in Practice course wass accredited for 5 ECTS
following an Objective Structured Clinical Examination. This course gives students the opportunity to work towards the award of an MSc in
magnetic resonance. Other courses are in the planning stage with the
aim of offering a variety of study formats. The Group will be active
in forging links with other organisations, both national and
international to organise a number of joint meetings and study days.
